Behind the scenes

Our History

  • 1986

    Desk Top Publishing explodes into the world of design and print, revolutionising the typesetting and pre-press industry and we are in there right from the start with a couple of the first Apple Macintosh computers on the Fylde Coast of Lancashire.

  • 2000

    The company has always been keen to support local and national charities and Ian and Rob climbed Kilimanjaro in aid of Prostate Cancer research.

  • 2009

    The business moves to new premises on Poulton Business park giving us more room for print storage, large format finishing and an extra digital press.

  • 2010

    We introduce our on-line print ordering portal “BlueChip” to make print ordering easier for our clients and accessible 24/7.

  • 2016

    Grantham’s of Preston and Blackpool transfer their production print operation into the safe hands of Forsyth and Steele.

  • 2018

    It’s the end of an era … Rob is retiring from his day job but will continue to be involved as director. We wish all the best with his travels.

  • 2019
